Epilog
Our weekend plans foiled, we gassed up and headed for home a day early. On the way we talked a lot about that weekend. The true measure of an outing is how completely one's mind is drawn away from the stresses and humdrum of the daily grind. During the whole ordeal we didn't think about work or home; we had not one single thought of family, hobby, world events; and it made a great story to tell. I don't know if los gringos ever got their cruiser back, but within the restrictions imposed by a trio of screwball greenhorns, we had a great vacation.
